Notice Time Changes for the 2019-2020 School Year
Attention Parents/Guardians:
We hope that your summer is off to a great start and your children are relaxing and having fun. This is a great time to rest, relax and get refreshed for a new school year.
This letter is to inform you of some changes happening for the 2019/2020 school year. The negotiation team asked for an additional 15 minutes added to the school day. In order to do this and keep students from being on the buses too late, Wiley and Holcomb Elementary Schools have adjusted their beginning and ending times. From our experience, I think this will help those of you that need to get to GC for work and will close the gap between beginning times for both elementary schools.
The following will outline the changes for next year:
Holcomb Elementary:
Open doors/bus drop off in the am: 7:20
Breakfast: 7:20 - 7:40
School begins with students in the classroom: 7:45
School ends in the pm: 3:20
Wiley Elementary:
Open doors/bus drop off in the am: 7:25
Breakfast: 7:25 - 7:45
School begins with students in the classroom: 7:50
School ends in the pm: 3:25
The handbook will reflect new changes to absenteeism and tardiness. We have developed a district wide plan that will be consistent throughout the buildings. The handbook will be published on the web in early August and will be available at district enrollment.
